The Irish Examiner recently did a feature on this west cork property in its Property supplement :

"West Cork house comes with a spectacular view
About mid way between the Beara penninsula and Sheep's Head peninsula in West cork is a very nice detached stone faced property right on the coast. The only problem with this spectacular property is that viewers will probably pay more attention to the stunning views of Bantry Bay rather than the home itself, which was built in 1998 using stone excavated from the site.

"It is one of the nicest views I have ever seen in this job", claims Carolyn Maslin ...

It is no wonder then that the couple selling are heartbroken having to sell up, but work committments in Dublin need to be met.

The property is located in Glengarriff, but about 10 minutes from both Bantry and Glengarriff. It is set about 1km back from the main road between the two.

The 1650 sq ft house stands on 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens.

Has four bedrooms. One is on the ground floor, which could also be used as a study or playroom, while one of the three bedrooms upstairs is a converted bathroom.

There is also full planning permission in place for a further two bedrooms, shower room and large living area. Other rooms include a fully fitted pine kitchen with terracotta flooring and a sun room with a vaulted ceiling.
